Our client is looking to appoint an experienced Secretary/Typist on a part time basis for approximately 25-30 hours per week. Working hours will be flexible where possible. This will initially be a temporary role for approximately 3 months but with the possibility of extended/permanent employment thereafter. Duties include:
Audio typing from dictation including medical terminology.
Typing up referrals and updating confidential patient records.
Document checking and recording.
Producing documentation and correspondence with the highest possible standards of literacy and grammar.
Ordering supplies and stationery.
Dealing with enquiries.
Dealing with external contractors.
Extensive use of MS Office software and in house database systems.
Applicants must have strong secretarial and administrative skills including fast and accurate typing (copy and audio). Previous experience of the medical sector is preferred but not essential as full training will be given. The ability to learn new skills, systems and procedures quickly and efficiently is essential along with strong communication skills and the ability to deal with a range of contacts in a professional manner.
