Your role will be to lead and develop this new and innovative project. The aim of the project is to investigate the efficacy of the use of Skype (or similar technologies) for the delivery of outreach services in partnership with a range of external agencies, with a view to identifying the benefits and pitfalls for our own CAB and other bureaux in taking this approach.

At the end of the project you will produce a ‘How To’ guide for other bureaux to use, which will include sample protocols and procedures and examples of problems and pitfalls encountered, as well as case studies, statistics and other information.

This is a fixed term post of 18 months but may be extended to 24 

Salary is £19,500 p.a.

 

Key work areas and tasks:

      • Oversee and quality check casework of team members
      •  Make outreach visits as necessary and Manage the relationship with all stakeholders
      • Provide statistical information on the project outcomes and provide regular reports to bureau manager
      • Monitor service provision to ensure that it reaches the widest possible client group.
      • Alert other staff to local and national issues
      •  Monitor and update website
      •  Prepare for and attend or carry out supervision sessions/team meetings etc.
      •  With the bureau manager develop s initiatives for the improvement of services
      •  Work with the volunteer coordinator to recruit, train and support volunteers
      •  Maintain local information systems
      •  Keep up to date with policies and procedures relevant to bureau work and undertake appropriate training
      •  Attend external meetings as agreed with the manager. Maintain close liaison with relevant external agencies
      •  Carry out any other tasks that may be within the scope of the post to ensure the effective delivery and development of the service
      •  Demonstrate commitment to the aims and policies of the service
      •  Abide by health and safety guidelines and share responsibility for own safety and that of colleagues
      •  Carrying out any other such duties as may be reasonably requested by the Bureau Manager
